Holy Trinity Anglican Church was established in 2010 in Plant City, Florida. We moved to the campus of Trinity College in Trinity, Florida in September 2017. Then the pandemic occurred so we are currently not meeting together face to face, but will provide and online service. Our mission is to seek those who are lost, bring again those who were driven away, bind those who are broken, and strengthen those who are sick. We are an ancient-future faith community, dedicated to keeping God central in our worship, sharing the Gospel, and proclaiming the Good News.
Who We Are
We’re a small, caring, Anglican congregation that started in Plant City, Florida and moved to New Port Richey in August 2017. We have formed deep relationships in the past few years we have been together. We have a vibrant worship service, keeping God central while remembering that the road to the future runs through the past. As Anglicans, we are connected to a global community were we invest in people’s lives as we continue on our spiritual journey.
Hang around us very long and you will discover that we’re committed to the Gospel, the Good News. Our church is not about telling people the bad news – most folk already know enough bad news to last a lifetime. What Jesus came to establish, what the Apostles spent their lives proclaiming, was the Good News. Our preaching, teaching, singing – everything we do – is immersed in this one simple statement:
That “God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not counting men’s sins against them.”

Our parish is in the Convocation of Christ the Redeemer, the Missionary Diocese of All Saints, and the Anglican Church in North America. The Anglican Church has roots all the way back to first century England and Ireland, and includes in it’s family a long line of notable Christians from Saint Patrick to C.S. Lewis with 31 signers of the Declaration of Independence being Anglican.
We are also members of and support Forward in Faith North America (FiFNA) which is a fellowship of people and churches who embrace the Gospel of Jesus Christ and uphold the Evangelical Faith and Catholic Order which is the inheritance of the Anglican Way. This fellowship works, prays, and witnesses for reform and renewal of the Church with “no compromise of truth and no limitation of love.” This fellowship includes faithful Anglicans spanning many jurisdictions and structures with the mission to witness to the “faith and order of the undivided Church.”
Our Leadership
The Rev. Dr. Ken Rushing, Vicar
Fr. Ken Rushing is the Vicar of Holy Trinity Anglican Church. He also serves as adjunct professor in the department of Theology at Trinity College of Florida, is the Coordinator of Information Technology for the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies and owns and operates Rushing to Serve, LLC, computer services. Fr. Ken surrendered to the ministry in 1978, was ordained a Baptist Minister in 1982 and served churches in Mississippi, Texas and Florida. In 2001, he resigned the Baptist Church and started seeking God’s desire for his continued ministry. He embraced Anglicanism and was ordained a Deacon in 2005 and a priest in 2009. He founded Holy Trinity Anglican Church, here in Plant City, FL shortly thereafter.
Fr. Ken graduated the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Church Music degree in 1982, Southwestern Seminary with a Master of Music degree in 1985 and Doctor of Worship degree from The Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies in 2002. He has done additional studies in Sacraments, Word and Liturgy with Anglican Mission in America.
